Accessibility Statement

We've served Southern California for 80 years, and that means serving everyone. We want every visitor — including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or captions — to be able to use this website.

What we've built in

• Accessibility controls on every page — the round button at the bottom-left corner opens options for larger text, high contrast, underlined links, and paused motion. Your choices are remembered.
• Keyboard navigation throughout — every interactive element, including the Roof Try-On, photo galleries (arrow keys to browse, Escape to close), menus, and forms, works without a mouse, with visible focus indicators.
• Screen reader support — semantic landmarks, a skip-to-content link, labeled form fields and buttons, descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and live announcements for dynamic content like the Roof Designer's status.
• Reduced motion — we honor your device's "reduce motion" setting automatically, and offer a manual pause control.
• Color contrast — text colors are chosen to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast guidance.
• For visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing — this site contains no audio-only or video content; everything is available as text. All phone contact points have equivalents: our contact form, or visit either yard in person where we're happy to communicate in writing. If we add video in the future, it will be captioned.

Our standard

We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Websites change, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a checkbox — we review new features against these guidelines before they ship.

Known limitations

The Roof Designer produces visual renderings, which are inherently graphical. If you can't use it, you don't lose anything: call either location and our counter team will describe materials and colors, mail you physical samples, and handle your contractor referral entirely by phone — (800) 540-7626 (Long Beach) or (800) 580-7626 (Laguna Niguel). Everything this website does, a human at the counter can do better.
